If you happen to live in a well populated city or suburb then you most certainly have noticed all of the independent mom and pop fitness studios that have been opening over the past 5 years in particular. There is something for everyone and every level from spinning studios, yoga studios, pilate studios, Zumba classes, martial arts, dance, Crossfit, and the big brand, big box gyms such as LA Fitness, Golds Gym and NYC Health clubs. The list goes on and on, the fitness industry is booming and continues to grow each and every year. With so many choices and with people having diverse interests in health and fitness, it has created a secondary market that caters to niches. That is exactly the purpose that this article will supply, a look into the growing industry of natural fitness products and cardiovascular health supplements.
I decided to write this article in response to the many questions I receive every day on how to buy health & fitness products and what to take each and every day. I realize that there have been and continue to be a plethora a fitness products on the market and buying based on the label having your favorite color just won't cut it and your body won't appreciate that either. There is also the fast realization that after awhile it seems as if you should be taking dozens of products to get the health benefits that you desire. Well today I am going to simplify the approach to what you supplement with and provide you with some choices of products that my customers take and love and what I take and love. I can't claim that I have taken every product in our line or on the market but over the course of 20+ years I have purchased so many products and when I joined Mannatech I tried from start to finish at least 15 products. So how do you buy health and fitness supplements? The key to optimal health and fighting off disease lies in the innate power of the immune system and this innate power can go dormant if our bodies lack nutrition and even more importantly glyconutrients. Our immune system has the innate ability to cure whatever is thrown at it, I realize that is a big statement to make but it's supported by Universal laws that most are unaware of. The immune system is a network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body from infection. The human body provides an ideal environment for many microbes, such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites, and the immune system prevents and limits their entry and growth to maintain optimal health. When our immune system is weak it is easy to get sick and not feel well and that leads to the dreaded path of treating symptoms of disease which are caused by a weakened immune system. So what is the answer? The idea of boosting your immunity is enticing, but the ability to do so has proved elusive for several reasons. The immune system is precisely that — a system, not a single entity. To function well, it requires balance and harmony. There is still much that researchers don’t know about the intricacies and interconnectedness of the immune response. However, now it is now easier than ever to boost your immune system with glyconutrients supplements by Mannatech and take the guess work out of immune system support and allow your bodies innate ability to do what it was programmed in your DNA to do with ease and perfection. Sweet! What was on the fringe in 1996 is now mainstream in 2014. Glyconutrients and glycoscience are synonymous with the foundation of Mannatech. Mannatech, through the breakthrough discovery of a mannose based polysaccharide in aloe vera gel by Dr. Bill McAnnalley, developed the worlds first glyconutrient dietary supplement in 1996 with the launch of Ambrotose Complex. However, back in the 90's there was much skepticism about glyconutrients. Mannatech was subject to a firestorm of press that basically attempted to debunk the discovery. But Mannatech persevered and has continued to lead the way as a pioneer in glyconutritional technology. Indeed when our bodies feel good we usually feel good emotionally, at least we increase the odds of feeling good. Now the opposite holds true as well, if our bodies feel bad then typically our emotions match that feeling and we feel tired, fatigued, bored or frustrated. Both physical and emotional feelings are tied together and unlike emotions where we can just change our thinking in order to feel better our bodies require a bit more and the best place to begin is with nutrition. Why nutrition? In todays modern diet, in particular in the USA, the food choices are abundant, creatively designed to look oh so yummy but there is one key ingredient missing. What is it? The answer is nutritional value or nutrients. This country has been so programmed into watching calories that nutritional value doesn't even register in peoples minds. The truth is we don't need as much food as we eat, food is needed to fuel the engine of the body. Our bodies respond to the energy the food provides, if it has no nutritional value we find ourselves feeling hungry again less than an hour after eating. And even worse, if the food you choose has any type of chemical additives such as high fructose corn syrup or caffeine, you can bet you will feel as if you didn't eat at all, crippled with cravings for more food. The food industry is a business and your health and well being is not one of their goals, their goal is to make money and get you to buy as much food as possible. What is the sweet spot? To me it is more of a feeling than a location, it is when it just feels right, like your number is going to be called and without any doubt it happens. It's that gut feeling, that intuition that just makes it feel right and it always seems to right. Now the opposite also happens when you don't feel right and you doing something regardless, that is when you usually kick yourself for not trusting your gut feeling. So the sweet spot is a feeling and when you got it, it is very powerful. This sweet spot is where you want to operate from on a daily basis. If you're not in the sweet spot, your actions are fruitless and when you are in the sweet spot your actions seem to have an exponential effect and grow very quickly. In today's world of nutritional supplements there are endless numbers of products all boasting claims of massive gains in muscle or massive loss of fat/weight in as little time as possible. Some are actually comical because the photoshop images of before and after couldn't possibly be the same person. That's the funny part, the part that is concerning is the synthetic based chemicals that are prevalent in all of these products. Basically, if you can't pronounce the word on the label then it is a synthetic ingredient. About 95% or more of the supplement market is synthetic based. Not only that but the claims are all marketing based and you basically have to believe the claims strictly on theory, in other words, there is no science backing these supplements claims. So who do you listen to when making a decision on what to put in your body as a supplement? Well, I recommend listening to someone who has the scientific evidence that supports their claims. Mannatech's products are plant sourced, backed by the "National Academy of Science" and the products are patented with over 70 global patents. Now that is something worth considering putting into your body. People are always drawn to the "secrets" of success and to what successful people do on a daily basis. One of the best kept secrets is that there aren't really any secrets other than the art of feeling good all the time. It sounds simple enough but people have developed deeply ingrained habits both mentally and physically that have made this simple task seem daunting. When you look at the phrase "feel good now", it breaks down into two categories, feeling good emotionally (your thoughts & feelings) and feeling good physically in your body. |
