Indeed when our bodies feel good we usually feel good emotionally, at least we increase the odds of feeling good. Now the opposite holds true as well, if our bodies feel bad then typically our emotions match that feeling and we feel tired, fatigued, bored or frustrated. Both physical and emotional feelings are tied together and unlike emotions where we can just change our thinking in order to feel better our bodies require a bit more and the best place to begin is with nutrition. Why nutrition?
In todays modern diet, in particular in the USA, the food choices are abundant, creatively designed to look oh so yummy but there is one key ingredient missing. What is it? The answer is nutritional value or nutrients. This country has been so programmed into watching calories that nutritional value doesn't even register in peoples minds. The truth is we don't need as much food as we eat, food is needed to fuel the engine of the body. Our bodies respond to the energy the food provides, if it has no nutritional value we find ourselves feeling hungry again less than an hour after eating. And even worse, if the food you choose has any type of chemical additives such as high fructose corn syrup or caffeine, you can bet you will feel as if you didn't eat at all, crippled with cravings for more food. The food industry is a business and your health and well being is not one of their goals, their goal is to make money and get you to buy as much food as possible. What is the sweet spot? To me it is more of a feeling than a location, it is when it just feels right, like your number is going to be called and without any doubt it happens. It's that gut feeling, that intuition that just makes it feel right and it always seems to right. Now the opposite also happens when you don't feel right and you doing something regardless, that is when you usually kick yourself for not trusting your gut feeling. So the sweet spot is a feeling and when you got it, it is very powerful. This sweet spot is where you want to operate from on a daily basis. If you're not in the sweet spot, your actions are fruitless and when you are in the sweet spot your actions seem to have an exponential effect and grow very quickly. |
